The Club received notification that Bernice Dinion, a dedicated Lion, has passed.
A kindly letter of thanks was received from Britian on the Green for our food service at their car show this Spring.
Lion President Sharon Fussell reported 309 pair glasses have been delivered to the eyeglass recycle center.
Lion Joe Chudzik Reported his Litter Cleanup–18 days, 28 bags & 19 tires- VRE parking lot–2 days, 6 bags & 11 tires. Anyone Interested in assisting Lion, Joe in cleanup. email us.
Finances and future plans were discussed, 50/50 tickets drawn, and meeting was adjourned.
Declaration Day 2026

Colonial Kettle Corn served up fresh popped kettle corn throughout the day. We hope to contribute our food truck next time!
On June 13 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. there was FREE family fun, great food, and community engagement during Gunston Hall’s Declaration Day commemoration!
June 12, 2026 is now officially designated as Declaration Day in Fairfax County in honor of the enduring legacy of the Virginia Declaration of Rights and its significance to our community, Commonwealth, and the nation!

Charter night 2026
It was an exciting and fun Charter Night as the new officers were inducted for the Mason Neck Lions Club on Wednesday Jun 10, 2026!
Past International Director Jay Moughon speaks and intro’s District Governor-elect Chuck Swab, who swears in each of the new leadership and challenges all Lions to “Engage”, referring to the Star Trek Next Gen’s’ Captain Jean-Luc Picards’ orders, exhorting us to further serve others.
Chuck also informed us about Lions Grants such as Emergency Preparedness, and talked of our district embracing our district’s new partnership for with Virginia School Of The Deaf And Blind. He also invited the members to the Fall Lions Conference Sept 19th.

Charter Night 2025
The Mason Neck Lions Club charter night was very well attended.
Awards were given, including a Melvin Joseph Fellowship given to LCAC Lorton Community Action Center executive director Rob Rutland-Brown, rarely given to a non-Lion member.
