The Lions have a significant interest in aiding those who are blind or have low vision. In 1925 Helen Keller addressed the Lions at their International Convention challenging them to become “Knights of the Blind” in the crusade against darkness. We work with the Lorton Community Action Center and provide eye exams and eyeglasses for them. We lend support to the Leader Dog Program and Canine Companions for Independence as well.
